SOTU
It was surreal. He just kept lying, on the warrantless wiretapping (it is not court-approved, although who knows now with the deck stacked), his energy policy, reconstruction (there is no new reconstruction money)... It was almost boring, too. If the stakes weren't deadly serious.

You mentioned reconstruction. Here's a quote from an Observer piece on the 'recontructed' Afghanistan:
"The Observer has learnt that such is the demand among ordinary Afghans to leave that this weekend the Interior Ministry has run out of the basic materials to make passports."
